    User Avatars

Click on your user name in the upper right corner of this screen (under Signed in as UserName).  You may have to scroll to the top of the screen to see it.  This will bring up your profile settings, and you can click on the Avatar tab there to upload an avatar.

Currently, avatars are limited to a maximum size of 100 x 100 pixels.  This fits the spot on each forum post just about perfectly.  I recommend using the following formats for avatars, in this order:  .png, .jpg or .gif.  The .png format has the color depth of .jpg and some compression but without being lossy.  (I do not recommend setting a transparency color when saving in .png or .gif formats, you will not like the results when uploaded.)  All modern browsers support .png as well as many older ones.  Be sure to trim away unnecessary white space from your avatar.  I uploaded Allyrianna’s avatar as an example, trimming a bit of the hair in the lower right and most of the empty space.

Once an avatar is uploaded, I have to go in and approve it.  It took a bit to find both places I had to do that, even for my own avatar, which a scan of the Feature Creep from Dilbert—appropriate, given the tendency for the Yön Worldbook to get bigger and bigger.

Rock on it turned out extra spiffy :) I have every one's head shot officially finished so they can do it YAY! I only have three more full character pics to do if Emily lets me hopefully I can get those banged out by the end of the week. And like I said if you want me to work up any grafficks for the world of yon I will give it a go :)

Oops, I forgot to turn on the emoticons.  Fixed.  If you want to use them without waiting for the emoticon menu to show up, just enclose the emoticon code in square brackets.

You may regret allowing me to request grafficks—I mean graphics Stick out tongue.  The problem is that I’d actually want a background, a graphic in context rather than a fashion plate.  However, I probably won’t ask for one until the campaign events cause the players to travel to Ninetowers, at which time I have a specific one that would make perfect cover art that I really hope I can pay you a commission because it won't be easy, but if you can do it, it would be gorgeous.

I like the headshot that Amber drew. i had in my minds eye pictured him with a small tight afro but I think that this looks better than what I was picturing.  i edited the head shot to be 100 pixels tall which made it significantly more narrow than 100 pixels. I hope that it looks good. Geeked

Did you upload it?  I don't see it.  I checked your settings and it should appear if you uploaded it.

Don't try linking it from an exterior URL just now, I don't have that turned on.

    Re: User Avatars

Yep, I see Krall's avatar now.

I suppose I should make up and upload the avatars for the less technically inclined players; that way all they have to do is turn them off if they don't want them.  I'll do that now.

    Re: User Avatars

well the character portraits are basically fasion plates as you like to call them, but I can do backgrounds I guess Crying I just normally am too lazy.
